Wow! I don't how long this restaurant has been open but I am so happy we found it today! Just AMAZING! I was hungry for a Cuban sandwich and found UMK after a google search for that item and it was the BEST I have ever had! My husband loved his tacos and our cocktails were also amazing. We will definitely be back!!!

The food was absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Easily a five-star spot — I can’t wait to come back!

Stopped in quickly to get lunch and oh my! What a fantastic place! It is not huge but it packs a punch! It is very modern and cute as the name implies, service was very fast and pleasant. Server obliged me with a vegan menu and answered questions before I decided on the Mexibowl. This meal was absolutely delicious, I was very full and enjoyed the mix of flavors and textures— it is also an attractive dish! It was enough for me for two meals easily. Could not be more thrilled and will be back! It was so quick yet so well done! Truly impressed! They have a large menu and offer vegan and gluten free accommodations I believe. The regular menu had plenty to offer and they do specials! If you like bowls or enjoy fresh flavorful food stop in it is fine in or take out.

Went there for the first time in my birthday… wow I was impressed! The food was so good, our waitress was so nice and had such a fun attitude. I loved every minute I was there. I’ll definitely go back! The food looked and tasted like they truly have a passion

I was in town on a business trip and a colleague and I found this place for lunch. We were really happy when we saw the menu online and even more pleased when we got there to see more DELISH choices. It has a beautiful interior inviting and would be nice for a business dinner or date night or even a night out with friends for drinks... We decided on the Thai bowl over cilantro lime rice and the hot honey pizza (dynamically different choice to split) But nonetheless still extraordinarily tasty... I would definitely choose the Thai bowl again.The mixture of flavor was amazing and the sauce over top, just perfectly completed the dish!!! Y-U-M. My only wish is that I had one of these near me in Michigan. Luis was our server and accommodated all of our needs and was attentive! The best thing was ordering our gingerbread with caramel butter sauce dessert, I think I could have eaten 3 because it was so delicious but it was rich. So it was perfectly proportionate for even splitting - sooo good. Would definitely suggest for anyone who's in town to make sure you make a stop here!!

Urban Modern Kitchen – Appleton, WI Stopped in for lunch with my bestie today and overall had a pleasant experience. We started with the three-dip appetizer. The flavors were fine but a bit basic — the cheese dip tasted good but was a little runny, the salsa reminded me of Pace Picante, and the guac was the standout of the trio. For mains, my friend ordered the Chicken Pesto Panini, which was really good and absolutely huge. It came with homemade kettle chips that were perfectly crunchy. I went with the Greek Bowl, which overall was tasty, but there were a lot of olives and they were super salty — when you’re already salty, you don’t need more salt (kidding!). I do wish they offered a “build-your-own” bowl option. None of the bowls start off vegetarian, even though they easily could be with a simple swap. Thankfully they let me substitute the chicken for an egg (which came first? ), so that was appreciated. Service was kind and attentive. Portions are generous, which helps justify the slightly higher prices. The interior is cute and modern, though it was a bit chilly inside during our visit. All in all, a good spot for lunch with tasty options, big servings, friendly service, and room for a few small tweaks. Would return!

HIGHLY recommend dining here!! Food was absolutely delicious; service was friendly, attentive and fast; atmosphere is perfect- whoever chose the decor did a phenomenal job!! We got the brisket mac&cheese which was flavorful and fresh, also got the Philly cheesesteak which was well-made. Portion sizes are large enough to share for sure! Potstickers appetizer was SO good- will definitely get those again. So many other things we want to try here, so we will definitely be back!! Nice sized parking lot and decent amount of tables inside as well as some outside. It does get busy so get there early at peak lunch or dinner times.
